Frequently asked questions

What does titled land mean?

A titled lot has been registered as its own parcel, so you can settle and usually start building. Untitled lots are sold before registration and settle later.

What are design guidelines?

Estate rules on things like facade, fencing and setbacks that your home must meet, often approved by the developer before council or certifier approval.

Do first home buyers get help buying land?

Many states have grants or duty concessions for building a new home. Rules and caps vary by state, so check with your state revenue office.

What should I check before buying a lot?

Easements, slope and fill, soil classification, services connection, bushfire and flood overlays, and the expected title date.
